1. Dental Prosthetist?

Dental Prosthetist work as independent practitioners in the assessment, treatment, management and provision of removable dentures; and flexible, removable mouthguards used for sporting activities. The education requirement for a graduate dental Prosthetist is a minimum two year full time education program approved by the National Board. Prerequisite for entry is a Diploma of Dental Technology (or equivalent).

Dental Prosthetist may take impressions and records required for the manufacture of various types of splints; sleep apnoea/anti-snoring devices, immediate dentures and immediate additions to existing dentures. These procedures require written referrals to and from dentists and any appliance or device manufactured under such arrangement must be planned, issued and managed by the treating dentist.

Dental Prosthetist educated and trained in a program of study approved by the National Board to provide treatment for patients requiring implant retained over dentures must enter into a structured professional relationship with a dentist before providing such treatment.”

2. Do I need a referral?

You do not need to have a referral from a dentist or doctor for general. However, from 30 June 2014, you do need to have a written referral for immediate dentures, immediate additions or various types of splints from dentists.

3. What is an Immediate Denture?

For example, you have 5 teeth remaining upper teeth, and these are needed to be extracted due to any reason. Then, your immediate denture is manufactured prior to the teeth extraction. Once your dentist extract those remaining teeth, this denture can be inserted immediately to protect your gum and to control the bleeding.

4. Why my dentures loose and wobbly?

Unfortunately, your gums can change due to rapid weight loss, medication you take or the aging process. This can cause your denture to rock in the mouth and can leave you with all sort of problems including sore spots, and constantly dropping while you talk. However, Relining can be done to create a new fit on your existing denture to prevent those issues.

5. How long does it take to get a new denture?

Full dentures : 3 to 4 weeks time

Partial dentures : 1 to 4 weeks time (depending of materials and the number of teeth)

6. Why denture prices are vary?

The price can be vary depending on the materials you chose, and the amount of time the Prosthetist spends on completing the denture.We provide a variety of ranges of dentures from a basic dentures to a premium dentures.

7. Is there interest Free Payment Option available?

Yes, We have payment options, Pay As You Go Program and AfterPay options Pays As You Go Program is got whole denture services done on the day out patients complete the payment (recommend patient can pay off in 2 month).
